Flightstar is currently seeking a Composite Mechanic with aircraft experience in an MRO setting to support our maintenance operation on 1st shift.

The Materials Lead takes charge of stockroom operations and ensures completion of day to day functions. Ensures team members are applying Flightstar’s standard operating procedures and system processes. Plans and schedules the materials workload to maximize the effective utilization of employees. Performs routine training, reporting, and communication as directed by the Material Program Supervisor. Helps ensure all stockroom operations are performed in accordance with the customer’s program requirements as well as Federal and State regulations.

The Lead Sheet Metal Mechanic directs the assigned crew in performing maintenance including various aircraft sheet metal repairs and replacements, to ensure airworthiness according to customer specifications and FAA standards.

Prepares shipments, makes arrangements for delivery, and ships parts, assemblies, or other items as necessary. Systemically performs routine electronic tasks involving shipping record keeping in accordance with standard operating procedures and the RS/QCM.

The Stockroom Clerk Issues hardware and consumables, issues and receives tools, picks and stages parts using correct procedures and policies. Work can be performed within a hangar’s satellite stockroom location or within the central distribution center. Performs routine systematic tasks integrated within Flightstar’s operating system, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
